Privacy Policy
What we store
Your email address, a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), your time zone, the trades, watchlist and follows you add, and your alert settings. A device sign-in token is stored only as a one-way hash.
We use your email address to confirm your account and reset passwords (one-time codes) and to send the alerts you turn on, such as sell-now alerts, loss warnings, and the optional daily portfolio rundown at 11:59 pm in your time zone. Every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe. We do not sell or share your address.
What we do not collect
No name, phone number, brokerage login, bank details or payment card is ever required or collected.
Who else handles data
Cloudflare hosts the site. Resend delivers email, and a second email service (Brevo) sends it instead when the first has reached its daily limit. Market prices and search come from third-party public data feeds; the symbols you look up are sent to them. Browser push notifications go through your browser vendor.
We never sell data
We do not sell or rent your data and we do not show ads.
Your control
You can delete your account and all of its data from Settings at any time, or turn any alert off.
Security
Connections use HTTPS. Passwords are salted and hashed, emailed codes expire in 10 minutes and allow five tries, and sign-ups, logins and resets are rate limited with lockouts. No system is perfectly secure; tell us right away if you think your account was accessed by someone else.

How alerts work, and what can delay them
TradeTrack watches the prices of trades you log and alerts you when your target is reached. We build this to be dependable, but no alert is guaranteed, so please read how it works.
- Price checks. Prices are checked every few minutes during market hours, from third-party data feeds (Yahoo Finance, with a backup source). Prices can be delayed by 15 minutes or more, and a feed can be unavailable. If no current price is available we do not send an alert from an old one.
- Between checks. A price can reach your target and fall back between two checks. We also use the day's high when it is available, but we cannot promise to catch every move.
- Sending. When your target is reached we save the alert, show it in your in-app notifications, and email it to you, plus a phone or browser notification if you turned that on. If sending fails we keep retrying for up to three days. SELL NOW and loss-warning emails are sent ahead of all other email.
- Delivery. We ask our main email provider (Resend) whether each SELL NOW email was delivered, and send it once more if it was not. Emails sent through our backup service (used only when the main one is at its daily limit) are not checked this way. "Delivered" means the receiving mail service accepted it, not that you saw it. Mail can be filtered to spam, delayed, or rejected if the address is wrong. Add our sending address to your contacts and check your spam folder.
- Limits and outages. Free data and email services have daily limits and outages. When that happens, alerts can be late or missed. Your trade page shows whether the email for each alert was sent, delivered, or could not be confirmed.
- An alert is not an order. An alert never buys or sells anything for you. Do not rely on an alert as your only protection. If you need a sale to happen at a set price, place a sell or stop order in your own brokerage.
